Valentine’s Day: My Anti-SAD

Even the most anti-V-Day person out there has to admit that nothing quite showcases the glamorous beauty of pink and red than this ultra-feminine holiday; and I think it’s a life preserver during wintertime, when seasonal affective disorder (SAD — is there any more fitting acronym?) is possible. When in doubt, just turn an ordinary meal — like crepes — into a Valentine’s pièce de résistance simply with the use of heart-shaped cookie cutters. That goes for home decor, too. This year, I indulged in my love of tinsel and made my apartment match the cheery brightness of stores, and I couldn’t resist sharing a few snapshots.
